Weddings at Summerhill
Some important information
We host a strictly limited number of wedding receptions each year.
We are primarily a community facility, so we’re not equipped to do wedding planning or organising. We supply the venue and the bar, the rest is up to you!!
• We absolutely loved celebrating our wedding at Summerhill. Hugh and his team couldn’t do enough for us, the place looked so pretty and everyone had a wonderful time. We wanted a relaxed wedding, and Summerhill was the perfect place for this. Our photos look amazing, and we had the best time!.
• Summerhill just hosted our wedding reception on the 27th July 2019. The staff were lovely. They went above and beyond in their service, including donating an entire bottle of soda water to removing a red wine stain out of a wedding dress! It’s such a beautiful venue, our guests loved the space, especially the lawns and front of the pavilion. There were lots of beautiful spots to have photographs taken. Hugh helped us so much, replying to every single email we sent asking for tiny bits of info. Would highly recommend as a venue to anyone.
If you wish, we can arrange a marquee to be erected on the lawn. There is an additional £200 ground rent charge if you decide to do so.
There is a licensed bar on site. You can bring your own wine or champagne for a meal or toast; there is a £7 corkage charge per bottle.
- Licence -
Our bar licence runs from 10am to 11:00pm and covers both inside and outside spaces. (*Please note, because we’re in a residential area, music has to be off at 10.50pm and all guests should have departed by 11:15pm.)
- Tables & Chairs -
There are currently 100 chairs available and a selection of tables including trestles and round tables. You’re welcome to hire in more if required.
- Sound System -
There’s a PA in the pavilion that you can plug your ipod/laptop into.
- Deposit Information -
If there’s a date you’d like to reserve, there is a £200 deposit to fix it in the diary. This is refundable against your total booking fee if the event does go ahead, and non-refundable if it doesn’t.
